2. In short
- This website does not use analytics or advertising services. Our hosting provider Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies depending on its security configuration.
- Fonts, images and scripts are hosted on our own server; no content is loaded from third parties.
- The sound plate and online coloring run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
- We only store data if you write to us using the feedback form.
3. Hosting and server logs
This website runs on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested address, your browser’s user agent and the referrer in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses also apply. We do not analyze these logs ourselves.
4. Feedback form
If you write to us using the form, we store your message, the selected topic, the language, the time of submission and—if provided—your name, email address and photo. The data is kept in the Cloudflare Workers KV storage service and deleted automatically after 180 days, or earlier on request. We use it only to read your message and, if you wish, to reply. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by email.
To prevent abuse, we create a pseudonymized (salted) hash from your IP address and the date and keep it for no more than 10 minutes after your last submission in order to limit repeated submissions within a short time (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your IP address itself is not stored. If we reply to you by email, that correspondence is also kept in our mailbox.
5. Links to Amazon
The “View on Amazon” and “Review the book on Amazon” buttons, as well as the QR codes in the book, take you to Amazon via a redirect. Data is only transferred to Amazon once you click them; Amazon’s privacy notice applies there. These are not affiliate links.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Simply write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example, the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
